How to Apply
The Philip L. Graham Fund follows a two-step application process. Organizations interested in applying for funding from the Philip L. Graham Fund must first submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) through our online application system prior to one of three deadlines each year. Before submitting an LOI, applicants should review the Fund’s interest areas and qualifications for funding to ensure the organization’s request fits within the Fund’s giving priorities. Please keep in mind that while consideration is occasionally given to other requests, the Fund remains committed to primarily funding requests for special, one-time needs of organizations (e.g., equipment and capital needs) rather than general operating or program support. Multiyear grants are awarded rarely.
The Fund only accepts letters of inquiry via our online application system. A link to the online application will be available here beginning two month prior to each LOI deadline. The next LOI deadline is December 7, 2010.
If you have submitted applications to the Fund via this system in the past and you would like to access a read only version of a past application, you may do so by clicking on the link below:

Applicants will be notified of the Fund’s interest via e-mail within one month of each LOI deadline. An invitation to submit a full proposal does not guarantee funding.
